The Hunt Family welcomes seasonal guests each spring to their unique, family-operated resort on the shores of Sardine Lake under the towering 8500 ft Sierra Buttes.

In an area renouned for fishing, hiking, birding, wildflowers and scenic beauty you are surrounded by unexpected opportunities to view soaring eagles and osprey, deer, otters and a variety of other wildlife.

The main lodge is open daily at 8am for beverages, including beer and wine, snacks, bait & tackle, boat rental and cabin reservations.

Cabins Our hand-crafted, housekeeping log cabins are fully equipped for your mountain comfort and are typically available for weekly guests by prior reservation. Occasionally, an opening would be available - please call (530) 862-1196

Lakeside Dining We serve a full menu of excellent dinners and fine wines on Wednesday through Sunday evenings with seatings available at both 6 and 8pm in our lodge diningrooms. Reservations are highly recommended - please call (530) 862-1196. Closed Monday & Tuesday.

Lakeside Bar Our lakeside gazebo is a full bar and open for your enjoyment at 5pm. Closed Monday & Tuesday.

Boat Rentals Row and motor (electic only) boats are available for rent by the day and half-day and can be reserved in advance by calling (530)862-1196. PFDs for all ages are required and provided with your boat rental.
